As an Assembly Technician, you will:

  • Hands on testing
  • Help identify bugs at both the hardware and software application level
  • Provide feedback to development team to improve design
  • Actively participate in issue triage / troubleshooting
  • Develop tools and test setups to streamline QA for rapid release schedules
  • Evaluate field issues and propose solutions – Design, MFG process, supplier quality, operations
  • Work with Engineers and operations team to optimize scheduling process for unit repairs
  • Assist Engineers to bring equipment up to date with current software and hardware
  • Maintain detailed online database of machine issues, upgrade and repair history
  • Stay current on continuing education and training requirements
  • Conduct QA testing to ensure issues have been resolved

Relevant experience and mindset:

  • 2+ years of experience as a tester or internships related to firmware & testing
  • Strong computer and communication skills and team-working tendencies
  • Proven track record showing a strong background with emphasis on safety, quality of work, and technical aptitude
  • Able to anticipate future issues and mitigate them before they become operational setbacks
  • Able to juggle numerous projects simultaneously with ease
  • Correctly operate test equipment, connector crimpers, die inserts, stripping tools, power tools, and other common hand tools and shop equipment
  • Comfortable with change and the pace and resources of a small company
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft office tools (word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Multi-tasking and self-starting
