Our Story

Over twelve years ago, we founded FLAVORx on the simple idea that the taste of medicine should never come between your child and their good health.  It started at our community pharmacy with one flavor, Banana, developed for a child having serious difficulty taking anti-seizure medication.  The condition was life-threatening, and the fact that this young girl wouldn’t take her awful-tasting medicine was making things worse.  After much experimentation, we hit on a successful formula.  That girl took her banana-flavored medicine without any problems, her seizures subsided, and we had our “Aha” moment.  FLAVORx was born.

In the decade+ since we were first inspired to take on the mission of increasing medication adherence, we’ve added many new flavors.  We now provide pharmacies with flavoring recipes for not just one drug, but hundreds of them including over-the-counter medicine .  And from that small community pharmacy, we’re now used in more than 35,000 pharmacies nationwide – from the biggest chain pharmacies, to your local mom & pop store.
